Makhachkala, May 25, 2015. Last week, Dagestan Prime Minister Abdussamad Gamidov visited Derbent, the press service of administration of Dagestani Head and the republican government reports.

Accompanied by the head of the state institution "Derbent-2000" Ali Nurmagomedov and the deputy head of the city administration Sergei Yagudayev, A. Gamidov inspected the Military Glory Park and the city memorial "Grieving Mother". Besides, Abdusamad Gamidov examined seven reconstructed streets and the citadel Naryn Kala in Derbent.

Summing up the visit, Dagestan Prime Minister expressed general satisfaction with the quality of work carried out in preparation for the 2000th anniversary of the city of Derbent, voicing, however, a number of comments. Thus, according to Abdusamad Gamidov, special attention should be paid to the stone facing of the citadel walls.

“Only four months left before the 2000th anniversary celebration of the city of Derbent, and it is extremely important that every citizen of the ancient city of Russia took a personal part in preparation for this significant event” – Gamidov said.
