Abdussamad Gamidov participates in opening ceremony of International naval contest Caspian Sea- 2015

Makhachkala, August 4, 2015. On Monday, August 3, Dagestani Prime Minister Abdussamad Gamidov took part in the opening ceremony of the first International naval contest Caspian Sea- 2015 within the International Army Games.

It should be noted that in accordance with the decision of the Russian Defense Minister, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation launched "International Military Games - 2015" from August 1 through August 15.

On Monday, two contests "Cup of the Caspian Sea - 2015" and "Derby of Caspian - 2015" started. The countries of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Kazakhstan compete in the competition "Cup of the Caspian Sea - 2015" for naval training among the crews of surface ships and marine personnel carriers of the Caspian Basin.

"Derby of Caspian - 2015" is held among the personnel of the Marine Corps and involves teams from Russia, Kazakhstan and China.
Dagestan Prime Minister, addressing the participants and guests of the competition, noted: "Today, we have a special day in the Republic of Dagestan. The first International naval contest Caspian Sea- 2015 has taken place  in Dagestan for the first time. It is a great honor to hold such events at high organizational level for our maritime republic".

Abdussamad Gamidov warmly welcomed the Russian Commander-in-Chief of the Navy, Admiral Viktor Chirkov, the Governor of Astrakhan Region Alexander Zhilkin, being on a working visit in Dagestan, the delegations of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and China on behalf of Ramazan Abdulatipov, Dagestanis and voiced gratitude to the Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, for their confidence in Dagestan.

The "International naval contest Caspian Sea- 2015, of course, is an important event aimed at strengthening the military and military-technical fraternal cooperation of the Caspian states and China, staff training, ensuring troops' combat-readiness, enhancing the prestige of military service. Besides, it is an important exam for revealing level of professional preparedness "- the prime minister said.

Noteworthy, the power of the Russian state had always based on the unity of the Armed Forces and the people, Abdussamad Gamidov pointed out that the Russian and Dagestan leaderships always supported the navy sailors.

The program includes competitions and activities of cultural and leisure nature, through which visitors can get familiarized with the history, culture, traditions and sights of Dagestan.
