Abdussamad Gamidov meets with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to Russia

Makhachkala, December 14, 2015. On Saturday, December 12, Dagestan Prime Minister Abdussamad Gamidov met with Pierre Ferring, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to Russia.

The official event brought together Abid Naseer, CEO of IN-Invest company (Luxembourg), the deputy of the State Duma Umakhan Umakhanov, the vice premier of Dagestan Government Ramazan Jafarov, the Minister for National Policy RD Tatiana Gamaley, the rector of Dagestan State Agricultural Institute Zaydin Dzhambulatov and attache of the Russian Foreign Ministry in Makhachkala Marat Osmanov.

Welcoming foreign guests, Abdussamad Gamidov expressed his sincere appreciation for visiting the republic of Dagetsan.

"I know that you make efforts to establish cooperation between the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and Russia. I assure you that Dagestan attaches great importance for developing comprehensive relations with Luxembourg - a country with a highly developed culture and economy.

It is pleasant to notice that Luxembourg is one of the largest investors in Russia. Even in complex international economic environment, Luxembourg leadership is making every effort to further strengthen the relations between our countries.

I would like to recall that the Prime Minister of Luxembourg, Mr Xavier Bettel made a working trip to Russia in October 2015, which is pointing out the special relationship between our countries, "- Abdussamad Gamidov noted and expressed confidence in further development of relations.

Dagestan Prime Minister stressed that Dagestan had rich resources for mutually beneficial cooperation in the business sphere:

"Dagestan is a beautiful region, where enterprising people are living. Today, our country is developing rapidly. The large-scale investment projects are implemented in the industry and agriculture sectors.

Under the guidance of Dagestani Head Ramazan Abdulatipov, there are process of updating in all aspects of society, also the seven priority projects of Dagestan development are successfully implementing and covering all sectors of economy and social sphere. "

Besides, Abdussamad Gamidov noted that the comprehensive measures to improve the investment climate region had been taken in Dagestan.

In turn, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to Russia Pierre Ferring thanked for the hearty welcome. "Luxembourg is one of the most important investors in the Russian economy. I should say that it is nice to come here for the establishment of meat processing enterprises, "- Mr. Ferring said.

As reported the modular slaughterhouse for small cattle (sheep and goats) has been opened in Botlikh district of Dagestan. The representative of Luxembourg, Abid Naseer, CEO of IN-Invest company has become the main investor of the plant.

Pierre Ferring also informed about his participation in a meeting between the Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin and the Prime Minister of Luxembourg, Xavier Bettel, held in Sochi.

According to Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, the visit had once again proved that the relationships between the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the Russian Federation based on the principles of friendship would have long-term prospects.

In conclusion, Abdussamad Gamidov invited the distinguished guests to visit Dagestan in the summer of 2016 to fully experience the uniqueness and beauty of the seaside and the mountainous republic.
