Abdussamad Gamidov inspects final stage of construction of Marabi plant

Makhachkala, August 31, 2015. On August 29, Dagestan Prime Minister Abdussamad Gamidov has inspected the final stage of construction of the Marabi plant in Kumtorkalinsky district of Dagestan.

The project, launched in April 2013, envisages the production of floor tiles and porcelain gres. The whole process, from preparation of initial raw materials to packaging of finished products, will be automated. Ceramic tiles will be made with Italian dyes and glazes that provide high consumer properties and the best price / quality products.

In an interview with reporters, Dagestan Prime Minister, in particular, said that all the necessary equipment had been already installed; in the near future, the plant would be put into trial operation. Besides, the plant territory had the adequate infrastructure. The builders promised to complete all the works within a month.

"Fortunately, we have no problem to start the plant. Everything goes according to the plan. One and a half years have passed since the beginning of the construction, and we meet the deadline. The leading process engineer Giorgio Frederico controlled not only the installation of modern technological equipment, but also the whole construction of the plant from the very beginning", - the Prime Minister stated.

In his turn, Giorgio Federico praised the work of Dagestani builders, who built a huge factory and installed a conveyor line in record time. "I have supervised and participated in the construction of more than 40 plants around the world, but I can see such quality together with the speed for the first time" - Giorgio Federico noted.

Abdussamad Gamidov pointed out that granite and tiles produced by Dagestan plant, wouldn’t be inferior in quality of Italian products. It is planned to make decorative products used in the construction and repair works.

"It is important to construct such plant in our republic, when Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke much about the import-substitution" - the Prime Minister said.

According to Gamidov, all Dagestan industrial enterprises have already received orders for 2016, mainly on the production of the defense industry, that means that Russia will not depend on imported components.

As it was reported, the production of Marabi factory will be delivered to the regions of North Caucasus Federal District, Moscow and as well as Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.
