Abdusamad Gamidov gets familiarized with construction of Dagestan Perinatal Center in Makhachkala

Makhachkala, August 17, 2015. Today, August 17, Dagestan Prime Minister Abdusamad Gamidov got personally familiarized with the construction of Dagestan Perinatal Center in Makhachkala. Noteworthy, the construction of the Center is implemented under the state target healthcare modernization program in Dagestan designed for 2011-2016 which is funded from the budget of the Federal Mandatory Medical Insurance Fund and the republican budget.

Having inspected the site, the Prime Minister noted the great importance of the Center in improving medical support for women and newborns. As to Dagestan public health minister Tanka Ibragimov, the Perinatal Center would be officially put into operation on January 1, 2017. Currently, all the preparatory activities are executed in strict accordance with the approved schedule.

"The construction of the facility is under special control of Dagestan Head Ramazan Abdulatipov, the ministry of public health of the Russian Federation and the representatives of the Federal Compulsory Medical Insurance Fund" – Gamidov noted.

Summing up the inspection trip Abdusamad Gamidov pointed out:

"Dagestan is the youngest subject of the Russian Federation and ranks among top Russian regions in terms of fertility. Therefore, it is important to create favorable conditions for Dagestani women and children. "
