World-famous saxophonist Igor Butman gives single concert in Makhachkala

Makhachkala, November 11, 2014. November 19, one of the best saxophonists in the world – the legendary Igor Butman – with his quartet and American jazz star Allan Harris will give a unique concert on the stage of Daghestan House of Friendship in Makhachkala, the organizer of the concert, director of the "Wit-art" agency Vitaly Stepantsov told RIA "Daghestan".

Igor Butman has shared the floor with international stars like Ray Charles, George Benson, Al Jarreau, Chick Corea, John Patitucci, and other stars. In 2009, he received the "Golden Disk" for having sold over 15,000 copies of his albums in Russia. In Europe and the United States had sold more than 10,000 copies.

In Russia, Igor Butman is featuring the second-to-none Allan Harris. Harris’ rich velvet voice combined with elegant scenic manners mesmerize audiences all over the globe - from clubs in Europe and Asia to the music festivals in Switzerland, Japan, Italy and other countries. Allan Harris is interested in the culture of the Wild West; he even released a country-style album «Cross That River» - the reason why he was later nicknamed a "black cowboy." However, at the forthcoming concert Allan is likely to perform as a "Black Sinatra" – accompanied by Igor Butman’s jazz orchestra he will sing jazz standards from Sinatra’s repertoire.

Vitaly Stepantsov said that People's Artist of Russia Igor Butman doesn’t often tours Russian regions, which makes the upcoming concert of a unique musical event for Dagestan and the entire North Caucasus Federal District.
