Makhachkala, April 6, 2016. A concert piano duo of the world famous pianists Alexander Yakovlev (Russia) and Sayan Sangidorzh (Mongolia) accompanied by the State Symphony Orchestra of Dagestan under the direction of People's Artist of Russia, professor Valery Khlebnikov will open April 22 the IX International Music Festival "Port-Peter Assembly". The big cultural event will last until June 3, the republican Ministry of culture reports.

The tradition of piano duo has very deep roots since the spread of this beautiful instrument. The name of Alexander Yakovlev, the winner of over 50 prestigious music competitions, had already become known in the south of Russia. On the contrary, Sayan Sangidorzh has undertaken her first time visit to Dagestan. This brilliant pianist is already known around the world for her stunning game, the unique interpretations of musical works, as well as the world-embracing pedagogical activity " - the source informs.

The concert program, which will be held in the hall of Kumyk theater, consists of 2 concerts for two piano and strings by Johann Sebastian Bach Concerto №1 for piano and symphony orchestra by Pyotr Tchaikovsky.

The Ministry of Culture and the Dagestan State Philharmonic have successfully held the International Music Festival «Peter Port Assembly» since 2008.
