Makhachkala, February 19, 2014. On February 18, Russian theater and cinema actors Tatiana Arntgolts and Gregory Antipenko performed in a play "Two for the Seesaw" on the stage of Daghestan Russian Drama Theater named after M. Gorky.

The arrival of two famous actors to Daghestani capital was organized by the theatrical agency «VIT- art", which often invites such popular actors. The play had been expected to be a sell-out. Among spectators there were theatrical art amateurs as well as the authoritative officials.
When Tatiana Arntgolts and Gregory Antipenko appeared on the scene, the audience burst into applause. The spectators were fascinated by perfect acting, an American style of the 50s, the great music and a play of light and dark.

The piece written by the famous American playwright William Gibson in tandem with the work of the Russian writer and director Alexei Kiryushenko went down very well with Daghestani audience.

Jerry ( Gregory Antipenko ) is a lawyer from Nebraska. He fled to New York from the past and now tries to rebuild his life and finds a job. Getel (Tatiana Arntgolts ) is a dancer, whose dreams won’t have become a reality.

Two losers, two solitudes – a dancer and a lawyer - are drawn to each other in despair. They go from one extreme to another; they do hurt each other, but continue to hold each other. It is a random couple with an unstable relationship like a seesaw. They helped each other to survive, to find themselves, but finally they broke down.

The piece has become a classic. Written in 1958, it is still popular and has a huge history of staging. The play "Two for the Seesaw" was put on Broadway, its screen version had enormous success with public.

The play directed by Alexei Kiryushenko was recognized as the best private theatrical enterprise 2013 and won Theatrical Star Award.
