Poetry Theatre opens on Dagestan Constitution Day in Makhachkala

Makhachkala, July 24, 2015. On July 26 when Dagestan celebrates the Constitution Day of Dagestan, the grand opening of the State Poetry Theatre "From Pushkin to Gamzatov and ..." will take place in Makhachkala, the press-service of the ministry of press and information reports.

The main goal of the event is to attract public attention to literature and reading, to increase audience interest in poetry, to revive the tradition of poetic performance, in the future, to expanse cultural contacts and to promote poetry outside of the republic of Dagestan.

The new Poetry Theatre will be opened in the building that had belonged previously to the Republican Youth Library named after A. Pushkin, and then to "Museum-Reserve - ethnographic complex" Dagestan aul".

It is symbolic that the opening of a cultural object held in 2015 that has been declared the Year of Literature by the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
