Makhachkala, April 22, 2014. The "My Daghestan" gala concert of the Russian cultural and investment forum "Culture and Economy of Regional Policy in Modern Context" will take place in the Great Hall of the Russian Theater in Makhachkala, April 23, a source in the House of Folk Arts of Daghestan ministry of culture told RIA "Daghestan".

The forum is taking place in Makhachkala, April 21-23, on the initiative and with the support of Daghestani Head Ramazan Abdulatipov as part of the annual Moscow forum "Culture as Strategic Resource of Russia in 21st Century", the international symposium "Colleges of Culture and Arts in World Educational Space", and the annual Daghestan economic forum. The program includes exhibitions, round tables, workshops, etc.

The gala concert scheduled for April 23, 5 pm, to be held in the Great Hall of the Russian Theater is one of the forum’s resonant events.

The concert will feature folklore ensembles and folk singers - winners of Daghestan contest-festival of traditional and classical art forms "My Daghestan" from Magaramkent, Akusha, Kuli, Charoda, Shamil, Untsukul, Levashi, Kumtorkali, Buynaksk, Khasavyurt, and Kizlyar regions and cities of Makhachkala, Khasavyurt, and Kaspisk, as well as state ensembles "Lezghinka", "Youth of Daghestan", "Kaspiy", "Ailanai", "Gislam", the Terek Cossack Song Ensemble, the theater of opera and ballet, the Choir of Daghestan, pupils from Kazhlaev school for gifted children, and Moscow singers and musicians.
