Moscow House of Cinema to present "Rasul Gamzatov. Confession. My Dagestan" documentary film

Makhachkala, March 12, 2015. On March 19, the documentary drama "Rasul Gamzatov. Confession. My Dagestan" about the life of Dagestan poet Rasul Gamzatov and his career will be first presented at the Central House of Cinematographers in Moscow, the press-service of the Permanent Representation of Dagestan at the Russian Federation reports.  

The scenario was scripted by a famous playwright, producer Rustam Ibragimbekov in collaboration with Dagestani Head Ramazan Abdulatipov. The director-producer of the film is Murad Ibragimbekov. Introducing the film about the poet, Ramazan Abdulatipov noted: "He is an embodiment of our culture, experiences and talents."

The film tells a story about Gamzatovs childhood and youth, his way to himself as a person and a great modern poet whose 90th anniversary was widely celebrated in Dagestan and throughout Russia in 2013. Rasul Gamzatovs old friend, the People's Artist of the USSR Vasily Lanovoi voiced the film: poetry, songs, memories, speculations on life and the epoch for he lived and worked with Rasul Gamzatov. Lanovoys comments on the poet's place in a multiethnic society of Dagestan, on the importance of his poetry not only for literature but for the people at whole.

The film was shot in the popular genre of documentary film with the elements of historical events. The film also includes fragments of interviews with the Russian President Vladimir Putin, Ramazan Abdulatipov, Vasily Lanovoi, Yevgeny Yevtushenko, Yevgeny Primakov, Vakhtang Kikabidze and many other opinions of Rasul Gamzatovs countrymen  the elders, ordinary countrymen, sportsmen and children.

Such well-known Dagestani actors and artists like Gussein Kaziev, Hadizhat Dzhamaludinova, Abdulkhalik Abdulhalikov, Tagir Kurachev and many others participated in the film. Gadji Ibragimov, Dagestan bright and talented actor played the young Rasul. The famous composer Alexei Aygi composed a soundtrack to the film.
