Khan Bashirov awarded with silver medal of International Federation of Musicians

Makhachkala, January 5, 2019. In the first days of the new year, the well-known musician, the Honored Artist of Russia Khan Bashirov has been awarded with the silver medal and a diploma of the International Federation of Musicians. The President of the Federation, Alexander Sokolov, handed over the medal to Bashirov, noting his outstanding contribution to the development of musical art and fruitful charitable activities.

On January 1, the maestro turned 65 years old. Currently, Khan Bashirov is in Moscow. He represents Dagestan and the capital of the republic in the All-Russian charity event “Masters of Arts of the Country to the Children of Russia”, which takes place in the cities of the Central Federal District.

Commenting the event, Bashirov told that within the framework of the action, along with the other participants he had already visited Ryazan, Yaroslavl and Kaluga. According to the professor, the action was marred by the tragic events occurred in Magnitogorsk. “Our goal is to help sick children. We visit children's rehabilitation centers and orphanages. At creative meetings, I perform children's music, show films and talk about Dagestan. The action is organized by charitable foundations, including the Podari Zhizn Children's Fund, headed by the Russian actress Chulpan Khammatova, as well as the creative unions”- Bashirov is quoted saying.

Noteworthy, Khan Bashirov is the chairman of the Republican Public Organization  "The Union of Musicians of the Republic of Dagestan", the member of Presidium of the Children's Fund and the Honorary Citizen of Makhachkala.
