Makhachkala, March 29, 2018. The "Soul of People" photo exhibition by Khadzhimurad Zurgalov has opened March 28 in the Russian Peoples Friendship Museum, the press service of the Ministry for National Policy RD reports. The National Costumes Laboratory of the Friendship Museum acted as the organizer of the event called to attract the attention of a wide range of public to the problems of preservation of the national culture and traditions, to upbring the younger generation in the spirit of patriotism, to endure spiritual values and to popularize the traditions of wearing the national costume of the peoples of Dagestan and Russia.

According to the deputy director of the House of Friendship Georgy Garunov, Zurgalov's works are dedicated to the peoples, traditions and national costumes of Dagestan. "His work is of great importance for the preservation and transfer of the traditions, the way of life and culture of Dagestanis to the younger generation" – Garunov noted.

According to Magomed Daitbegov, the head of the national policy and information support department of the Ministry, the state body officials are ready to support the creativity of all those who contribute to the spread and development of the country's rich culture of mountains.

"Khadzhimurad Zurgalov is an old friend of the ministry. As an artist, he sees the beauty undetectable to the ordinary eye. In his works the whole color and diversity of the Dagestan peoples are displayed"- Daitbegov confessed.
Noteworthy, the "Soul of People" exhibition contains photos by Khadzhimurad Zurgalov made during the last 20 years at festive events and during trips around the region. The event is on till April 25.
