Makhachkala, December 30, 2015. The exhibition of old photographs entitled "My dear elders" devoted to the distinguished workers of Dagestan has kicked off in the Finance and Audit Faculty of Dagestan State Technical University, the press service of the university informs.

The unusual format of the exhibition immediately attracted the attention of the university staff, students and guests. The visitors focused on not just photos of elderly people, but rather their destinies firmly entwined with the history of the entire Dagestan. Both students and tutors of the Finance and Audit Faculty prepared the exhibition.

In old photos depict the faces of relatives and loved ones, as well as the distinguished and ordinary workers engaged in traditional crafts of Dagestanis; among them the workers, the farmers and the representatives of creative professions. All these pictures are united by a common idea – the young people proud of their ancestors and keep the memory of them.

Any university officer or student could submit a photo of elderly relatives from the family archive who once lived in the land of Daghestan, fought for the freedom of their country and worked for the Great Victory.

A real rarity – the Certificate of participant of the All-Russian Agricultural Exhibition in Moscow in 1940, enshrined by the younger generation occupies the central place of the exhibition.

"The rare photographs exhibited in the faculty have become a landmark of the university, as well as a strong indication of an immense respect for the elder generation instilled at the University from the first day of training," - the university officer noted.
