"Using video, photography, design and installation of lighting in his work, Hawk examines how history is created and appears in the present. In his latest works he uses archives of historical cinema relics to examine how cinematic indelibly entered into our perception of history. In his series of films "Interview of things" the Egyptologist from the British Museum in London and the academic, specializing in psychoanalytic theory and material culture, interpret a series of cinema relics (props), disclosing their historical and cultural significance.
