"Epoch" Publishing House represents Daghestan at 27th Moscow International Book Fair

Moscow, September 4, 2014. The "Epoch" publishing house is representing Daghestan at the 27th Moscow International Book Fair taking place these days at the №75 Hall of the All-Russian Exhibition Center, a source in the publishing house informed RIA "Dagestan". The event is attended by over a thousand publishers from Russian regions and foreign countries. It is scheduled to run 3-7 September, open from 10 am to 6 pm.

September 5, "Epoch" will present their books including the popular series "To children about peoples of Dagestan" designed for readers over the age of 7. This series includes books like "Lezghins. History, culture, traditions" and "Avars. History, culture, traditions" by M. Gadjiyev, "Tabasarans. History, culture, traditions" by Mr. Azizov, "Russians. History, culture, traditions" by S. Manyshev, "Kumyks. History, culture, traditions" by M. Atabaev, "Laks. History, culture, traditions" by Magomedov-Chalabov, and "Mountain Jews. History, culture, traditions" by B. Shalumov.

The project aims at telling young readers about their native republic, its history, culture, languages, traditions and customs, and educating social and religious tolerance for different cultures. Authors referred to ethnographers, linguists, art historians, writers and other prominent public figures of Daghestan to create a complete picture of Daghestani ethnic groups.
