Ensemble "Vainakh" gives jubilee concert in Makhachkala

Makhachkala, April 30, 2016. Anniversary concert of the Chechen State Dance Ensemble "Vainakh" was given the day before on April 29 in Makhachkala. It took place on the eve of the International Day of Dance in the Russian Drama Theatre.

The dance ensemble "Vainakh" – is the Laureate of the golden Order of the Hero of Russia Akhmad Kadyrov, the winner of the Russian Federation Government Award, the Grand Prix winner of international competitions and festivals.

The ensemble was founded in 1939. The leading figures of dance and song art – the well-known performer of national dances Waha Dakashev, the playwright Abdul-Hamid Hamidov, Vakha Tataev who was then the Minister of Culture of the Chechen-Ingush ASSR were the founders of the ensemble. For 75 years of its existence, the ensemble went a long way constantly working on its repertoire. The People's Artist of the USSR, the Hero of Socialist Labor, the legendary Mahmoud Esambaev was the disciple of the school "Vainakh".
