Daghestan Russian Drama Theatre takes part in the festival in Kazakhstan

Makhachkala, July 8, 2014. Daghestan State Russian Drama Theatre took part in the II International Theatre Festival "Sahnadan selem!" held within celebratory events devoted to the Day of the capital of Kazakhstan - Astana on July 1 - 6.

Theatrical groups from Turkey, Russia and Kazakhstan and more than 400 artists presented their best performances on the stage of four metropolitan Melpomene churches and were appreciated by experts in the field of theatrical art.

Daghestan Theatre showed the audience a play written by Ken Ludwig "Borrow the tenor!" and produced by director Marina Karpachova. The first night had a success and elicited a 15-minute applause.

While in Kazakhstan, Daghestan troupe of 16 people enjoyed excursions to important cultural places of the capital. Then, at the end of the Festival, the art director, the Honored Artist of Russia Skandarbek Tulparov has been awarded with a diploma and a souvenir in the form of painted plates displaying the history of Kazakh people.
