Dagestan State Puppet Theatre presents oriental fairy tale "Aladdin and the Magic Lamp"

Makhachkala, April 7, 2015. On the weekend, Dagestan State Puppet Theatre presented an oriental fairy tale named "Aladdin and the Magic Lamp" to their young audience, a source in the theatre told RIA Dagestan. The performance immediately charmed Dagestani spectators.

The director of the play is Honored Artist of Ukraine Anatoliy Poliak of the Donetsk Regional Puppet Theater. He was invited in Dagestan by theater director Aminat Yakhyaeva. This fruitful creative collaboration started in 2014 to yield the marvelous play.

This performance might be exciting for audience of almost any age – everyone knows oriental tales since childhood. Now the stories still look thrilling and fascinating for adults, too. Each story reveals its unique magical plot adorned with a unique flavor, beauty and luxury of the East. But they all have one thing in common - that they do not lose their meaning which is close and understood by children and adults, they preserve their mystery and charm, their grace of oriental wisdom and eternal values.

A. Chupin’s vision of "Aladdin and the Magic Lamp", a story of a brave and selfless young man Aladdin who won a treacherous and greedy sorcerer Jafar, excited the young guests very much. A wise Jinnah, who had lived for ages in a magical lamp and broke free to work miracles and restore justice, was helping the hero of the tale. In the final, evil was punished and the lovers – Aladdin and lovely princess Budur – stayed together in good health, love and happiness.
