Dagestan painters and designers to participate in creation of new brand of carpets

Makhachkala, February 9, 2016. Dagestan painters and designers have been invited to participate in the international competition “I LIKE carpet – the handmade carpets". The main goal of the contest is to create the collection of the Russian-speaking designers for the new brand of carpets, the products of which are distributed across Russia, Europe, Asia and USA.

The architects, designers, decorators, engineers, developers, design offices, manufacturing plants, construction companies, design studios and workshops, students, teachers of specialized schools and faculties are welcomed to participate in the open competition.

The competition organizers accept graphic drawings, sketches and carpet prints sketches. The participation in the contest is free. The event is divided in several nominations - "pop art drawing", "constructivism style drawing" and "parks and gardens". Every category has three prizes. The winners will be awarded with diplomas and valuable prizes such as carpet woven by his own design, as well as a contract to receive royalties from sales of each carpet with this pattern. The second and third places winners will gain a contract to receive royalties from sales of each carpet with an author’s pattern.

The works will be accepted until May 15, 2016. The summing-up and the solemn awarding ceremonies will take place no later than May 29. The jury consists of co-sponsors of the contest. In the first stage of the competition, all the works will be selected by an online voting. In the second one, the jury will determine the best painters and designers included into the top list.

“I LIKE carpet – the handmade carpets” is an international competition. The founder and organizer of the competition is the “Internet Format”, LLC. The site for the contest is an online resource www.PinWin.ru.
