Makhachkala, January 20, 2015. Dagestan ministry of culture keeps digitizing material the database of the best Dagestani theatrical and musical achievements, a source in the ministry told RIA Dagestan. This work is aimed at preserving the golden fund of Dagestan cultural institutions.

Digitalizing the reeled and videotaped archives is part of the "Human Resources" priority project, subproject "Culture and traditions of Dagestani peoples" under the item "Digitalizing the database of the republic’s best theatrical and musical achievements".

To date, they have digitalized 8 performances of the Russian Drama Theatre, 12 performances of the Avar Theatre, 16 performances and 1 recital of the Dargin Theatre, 48 performances of the Lak Theater, 33 performances of the Kumyk Theater, 8 performances, 2 concerts and 1 recital of the Lezgi Theater, 15 performances of the Tabasaran Theatre, 34 performances of the Azerbaijani Theater, 8 performances of the Nogai Theatre, 29 performances of the Puppet Theatre, 7 operas, 3 operettas and 7 ballets of the  Theatre of Opera and Ballet, 18 concert dancing performances of the "Youth of Dagestan" ensemble, 7 concert performances of the Terki ensemble, and 85 concert performances of the "Lezginka" ensemble into mp2 to be later improved into mp4.
