“Culture to Children” project kicks off in Dagestan

Makhachkala, February 10, 2015. The "Culture to Children" project becomes popular among Dagestani scholars, the press-service of Dagestan ministry of culture reports. "The "Culture to Children" project provides scholars the ability to fully appreciate the respective artistic product in the artistic atmosphere.
The project started in March 2014. About 5,000 children have already visited the cultural institutions of the republic", - the spokesman noted.

The work project involves almost all the municipality formations of Dagestan. Enculturation of children living in rural areas to the academic arts allows implementing some actual modern problem such as to awaken children's interest to art and to encourage them to take future professions.

On February 7, an enhanced version of the project kicked off in Derbent. About 220 scholars from Derbent, Dokuzparinskiy, Suleiman Stalsky and Magaramkentsky districts came to view theatricals introduced by Lezgin State Music and Drama Theatre named after S. Stalsky and to take part in the interesting excursions in Derbent Museum-Reserve and the Museum of World Culture and Religion History.

Having watched performances, the children compared notes with each other and with their accompanying teachers.

"I really liked the spectacle. Besides, I watched it in the year when the Russia celebrate the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. When I get home, I will tell my friends about it. I am sure, that they also want to watch it and will come here next time within the framework of this useful project, "-  Fatima Amirbekova , a high school gymnasium scholar said.
