Azerbaijan performance group opens brass bands festival in Dagestan

Makhachkala, September 27, 2016. The fourth International Festival of Brass Bands "Dagestan fanfare" has been opened the day before by Azerbaijan folk music band in Dagestan State Philharmonic.
"Azerbaijan State Brass Orchestra is a professional musical group of the country with the strong performance traditions. For many decades, Baku Conservatory has been forging professional staff not only for the national musical bands.

Dagestanis had an opportunity to see and hear the magnificent performances by the artists from Azerbaijan – the orchestras, soloist and opera singers in the past. This time, Azerbaijani band under the direction of Karayusifli Farhad Tahir oglu opened the big cultural event in Makhachkala performing a wonderful program of jazz and pop tunes" – the Philharmonic officer said.

Most of the concert was dedicated to the music by Azerbaijani composers. There were all familiar tunes and new music for the listeners. The winner of international competitions Taleh Yahyayev - the owner of the beautiful voice with great range, demonstrated excellent vocal school and the culture of the highest performance.

Taleh Yahyayev performed "Song of Baku", "Dostlug", "Zibeyda" soundtrack "Meeting" by the composer Tofig Guliyev, "Azerbaijan" by Gara Garayev, the famous and familiar to all "My Azerbaijan" by Rauf Hajiyev and many other compositions.

All artists of Azerbaijan brass band and its leaders received certificates of participation in the festival "Dagestani fanfare." The festival will be held throughout the year with the participation of Dagestan popular music bands and military orchestras.
