Actress of Dagestan Puppet Theatre recognized as best in Moscow

Makhachkala, November 8, 2016. The leading actress of Dagestan State Puppet Theater, the People's Artist of the Republic Ekaterina Kasabova has magnificently performed with a one-man show "Geese-swans" at the III International Theater Festival of small forms "Ginger mood", held in Moscow on November from 4 to 6.

For the most demanding audience - the children – the puppet groups from Greece, Turkey, Hungary, Moscow and from Dagestan for the first time, introduced 7 different performances. Each of the performances distinguished by high artistic value, its own unique style and personality.

A stage production of Dagestan Puppet Theater, based on the Russian folk tale, teaches children to be kind, respect elders and care for the younger ones. The performance is interactive: kids are not only spectators, but also they participate in the theater spectacle.

Kasabova masterly played the role of a storyteller, a wood spirit, a boy Ivanushka and a girl Ulyanushka, a Swan-leader, a dog, Baba Yaga, speaking apple-tree, Russian stove , river and other characters of the tale. No wonder the colleagues say that in Kasabova’s hands every toy begins to breathe, to live, to feel and to talk with the audience.

At the stage, Ekaterina Kasabova demonstrates only her superior capabilities in the dramatic identification, and in singing too.A graduate of Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography named after N. Cherkasov played in more than 60 performances and demonstrated nearly 100 diverse puppet characters on the stage of Dagestan State Puppet Theater over years.

By results of "Ginger mood", Ekaterina Kasabova was awarded with the Gold Star in the category "Best Puppet Artist" at the festival.
