20 Dagestani amateur artists to present their works at Poetry of Colour exhibition

Makhachkala, February 6, 2015. About 20 Dagestani amateur artists will present their works at the Poetry of Colour exhibition which is scheduled to run February 10-17 at the Gamzatov National Library in Makhachkala, Dagestan House of Folk Arts of the republican ministry of culture told RIA Dagestan.

The exhibition is part of the Nuggets traditional project which is held by the House of Folk Arts. Since 2012, this project has featured more than 50 talented artists and craftsmen from different Dagestani regions and cities. For the participants, their passion for creativity is non-occupational - they are mostly doctors, teachers, engineers, or technicians. The project showcases the creativity of an enthusiastic man, his commitment to excellence, and desire to be a creator to the new and wonderful.

The Poetry of Colour will for the first time feature more than 70 works in different genres and styles by artists both well-known as Nuggets participants and the newcomers: Svetlana Iranpur, Magomed Bakhrichilov, Ilyas Magomedov, Djamilia Kurbanova, Hassai Aliyev, Aliona Aliyeva, Ada Archilaeva, Gulnaz Iranpur, Madina Ismailova, Ekaterina Kerimova, Bashir Uvaisov, Shapi Rabadanov, Muslim Abdullayev, Shahrizad Aliyeva, Beibala Rassulov, Magomed Alikadiev, Kazim Zagirov, Zukhra Rassulova, and others - 18 artists in total.

The exhibition will show the artists’ genres, skills and techniques. At the exhibition opening, visitors will hear poems by famous poets and exhibition participants, which will allow the audience to learn the multi-faceted talent of Dagestani masters of fine arts.

"Such events are important and socially significant, especially for the younger generation, as they help them learn aesthetic taste and let the public see the arts and crafts," - the source reports.
