Moscow, November 10, 2014. Daghestan Commissioner for entrepreneur rights protection Zurab Mammadaev took part in the forum "Small Business: Reset" in Moscow, the business ombudsman’s press service told RIA "Daghestan". The forum was organized by the Russian NGO on small and medium-sized entrepreneurship "Support of Russia".

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev opened the event by speaking about the support for entrepreneurs. He outlined some problems and points of growth for small and medium-sized businesses. "In the context of sanctions, when to us access to technology is impeded, we need to rapidly replace foreign technology with domestic developments, that’s the reason we are setting up centers for supporting small and medium-sized businesses in the area of innovation and industrial production," he said.

Participants also discussed a number of issues related to financial incentives for entrepreneurship, effectiveness of measures to support small and medium-sized businesses, government policy in small and medium enterprises, and tax policy issues in relation to entrepreneurship.
The forum included 2 sessions: "Priorities in developing small and medium-sized businesses: today’s opportunities and challenges" and "Increasing investment attractiveness of municipalities: best practices".

Zurab Mammadaeva said the problems discussed at the forum are highly relevant for entrepreneurs. "Besides financial support, it is very important for businessmen to be protected by the state. That’s what the institution of the Commissioner for entrepreneur rights protection is here for. It’s a protection guarantee to businesses’ legitimate rights and interests," he commented.
