Yusup Umavov takes part in I International Investment Forum "AgroYug - 2015"

Makhachkala, November 3, 2015. The Minister for Industry, Trade and Investments of the Republic of Dagestan Yusup Umavov has taken part in the First International Investment Forum "AgroYug - 2015" held October 29 - 30 in Stavropol. Within a two-day Forum, the participants of the agricultural market of the South of Russia discussed the progress of implementation of the import substitution policy and the investment issues.

The Minister noted that the region possesses all the necessary conditions for investors. "The Forum participants adopted an investment strategy, an investment declaration and an investment standard. The investors will be granted credit subsidies, tax breaks for 5 years and the state guarantees. Besides, 50% of costs for design and estimate documentation will also be indemnified"- Umavov stated.

Yusup Umavov also stressed that the agricultural sector was an important part of the regional economy and the priority direction of development of modern Dagestan.

"As part of import substitution program, to date, the republic developed more than 50 investment projects in the field of agriculture. It is expected that they will increase the volume of agricultural production. In addition, the region built modern warehouses, greenhouse complexes, enterprises that meet domestic demand and able to supply agricultural products to the Russian market ", - the minister said.

Noteworthy, the "AgroYug - 2015" Forum was attended by over 200 representatives of the industry: the heads and the Ministers of Agriculture representing all the regions of the South of Russia, the managers of the largest agricultural holdings, manufactures and retailers operating in the North Caucasian Federal District, Southern Federal District and the neighboring regions, the general and technical directors of service companies, manufacturers of fertilizers, animal feed, agricultural machinery and, of course, the investors.
