Two passenger ports may appear in Dagestan

Dagestan authorities proposed to build two passenger ports in Makhachkala and Derbent for launching pleasure boats. It is noted that such proposal was voiced at the meeting of the working group on development of cruise tourism in the Russian Federation within the framework of the "All-Russian Cruise Forum" held in Perm.

At present, the concept of construction of passenger terminals in Derbent and Makhachkala is being worked out by Rostourism together with the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation, Rosmorrechflot and Rosmorport taking into account international potential of tourism.

Director of the Republican Center for Russian Language and Culture Ruslan Lugovoi noted that such tourist communication was popular in past and its revival would allow to use the existing resources of both tourist and economic potential in a new way.
