Tourism Committee RD concludes a number of cooperation agreements at "ITM - 2015" exhibition

Makhachkala, March 17, 2015. The Tourism Committee RD has signed a series of cooperation agreements at the X International Tourism Exhibition "ITM - 2015" which started on March 14 in Moscow, the Committee officer told the RIA “Dagestan”.

Dagestan stand traditionally attracts attention of a huge number of visitors. The large exposition of 80 square meters, positioning Dagestan tourism products, presented the forthcoming 2000th anniversary of the city of Derbent as the key event. Derbent is one of the most ancient "living" cities in the world, the most ancient city of Russia. The stand was designed in the form of a world-famous brand - the fortress walls of the citadel "Naryn-Kala", which is included in the List of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage.

When visiting the booth of Dagestan, the Head of the Federal Agency for Tourism Oleg Safonov, the executive director of the World Tourism Organization Zoltan Somogyi and other officials of the Government of Russia, Moscow and Moscow region noted that the republic demonstrated a significant breakthrough in the development of tourism industry. This is largely due to the support of the industry by the Head of Dagestan and the big tourism potential of the region.

Dagestan representatives held a series of business and cultural events with the participation of representatives of tourist community, arts and crafts, creative and folk groups of the republic. The Republic of Dagestan presented the tourism potential and special economic zones for tourism and recreation, the investment projects of tourist-recreational sector.

On the first day of the exhibition, the officers of the Tourism Committee RD have been awarded with a diploma "For assistance in organizing the exhibition and active contribution to the development of tourism industry." On the second day, a number of agreements on cooperation and collaboration in the field of tourism have been signed. The Tourist Information Centre signed an agreement with "Saga Voyage" (Rostov-on-Don), the "Contrast project 4x4" LLC (Moscow) and the SUE National Tour Operator of the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania "Kazbek Tour".

Dagestan stand demonstrated the mastery of children's folklore dance ensemble "Sari Kum" throughout all the days of the "ITM - 2015" exhibition.
The exhibition called №1 exhibition to promote domestic tourism of the Russian Federation by the head of the Federal Agency for Tourism Oleg Safonov finished on March 17.
