Sustainable enterprises to be maintained and subsidized in Dagestan - Ramazan Abdulatipov

Makhachkala, February 2, 2016. In his annual address to the National Assembly RD yesterday, February 2, the Head of Dagestan Ramazan Abdulatipov noted the need to support and subsidy the sustainable enterprises. The head of the region noted that "the authorities have to work efficiently and honestly."

According Abdulatipov, the Government RD had not managed to take advantage of enormous opportunities of the passenger traffic, and therefore it was decided to create a new republican ministry that will deal with the issues of transport, energy and communications.

"In crisis, the development of such factors as internal resources could significantly contribute to the economic growth. This is evidenced by the work of the State Property Ministry RD, which had not learned to properly dispose the republican ownership and to use privatization and competition as levers for the development of market economy", - Abdulatipov said.

In this regard, Abdullatipov considers, it is necessary to reduce the state sector, "a tremendous assets are frozen in the state-owned unitary enterprises engaged in agriculture. Therefore it is necessary to maintain and subsidize sustainable enterprises and to direct their activities in different directions" - he said.

Abdulatipov instructed the Government to strengthen external economic cooperation with Azerbaijan, Iran and other countries. The Head of Dagestan spoke about the need to revitalize the logistics centers, transport and port systems to grant preferences to the companies and entrepreneurs.
