The prospects, existing problems and factors hindering the development of small aviation in the republic have been discussed on Thursday, February 10, at a meeting chaired by Acting Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Dagestan Abdulmuslim Abdulmuslimov.

As to the top official, the Government of Dagestan received a proposal from the OJSC Concern KEMZ to work out a comprehensive regional program for the development of small aircraft in the region. According to the Acting Prime Minister, the plant has developed a sample of a multi-purpose four-seat aircraft with a flight range of 1,500 km. The aircraft passed tests in accordance with FAP-118 and received a certificate of airworthiness.

The company also plans to produce a light multi-purpose five-seat helicopter. “The aircraft produced and developed by the enterprise can be used in the republic for tourism, agriculture, in the event of emergencies and the provision of emergency medical care and other purposes.

In this regard, I believe that the proposal of the enterprise to revive small aviation in the republic must be supported both at the regional and federal levels” - Abdulmuslimov said. Speaking about the existing problems, the top official pointed out a number of constraining factors hindering the development of small aviation in the Republic of Dagestan.
