Makhachkala, November 28, 2018. Seven waste sorting plants and one waste treatment facility will appear in various municipalities of the region. According to the press service of the republican Government, the Minister for Natural Resources and Ecology of the Republic of Dagestan Nabiyula Karachayev delivered a report on a special sitting of the Security Council. The top official spoke about the plans related to the solid waste system update in the region.

In particular, according to the road map, a protocol and a working schedule of measures have been approved by the Prime minister of Dagestan. The documents specify sites for the construction of seven waste sorting plants and one waste treatment facility.

Thus, one waste disposal facility will appear in Kizlyar and Izberbash, previously it was reported about plans to build waste sorting complexes in Makhachkala, Derbent and Khasavyurt. So far, the landfills have been located on unprepared territories. The wastes were mainly incinerated, which had a negative impact on the environment and human health.
