Makhachkala, May 20, 2020. The RusHydro JSC and Rostelecom JSC have signed an agreement on strategic cooperation in the field of digital transformation. The companies intend to jointly implement automation projects for commercial metering of electric energy at all enterprises of generating, network and marketing energy companies, the press service of the largest Russian provider reports.

The parties also agreed to expand the use of smart counting electricity devices. The cooperation document was signed by the CEO of RusHydro Nikolai Shulginov and the president of Rostelecom Mikhail Oseevsky. Under the agreement, RusHydro enterprises will be provided with communication services, cloud services and information security. Besides, the projects to digitally monitor the company's energy facilities will be launched.
