Makhachkala, March 25, 2014.  Daghestani poultry industry has been desolate since early 1990, as most of the poultry farms reduced their production; some farms even quit. The "bird flu" made some large poultry farms quit causing great damage to Daghestan poultry industry.

To date, Daghestani poultry industry investment is quite attractive in livestock industry and egg and poultry production.
In Daghestan, they are implementing the program "Developing poultry processing and production in Daghestan - 2011-2015" which sets out priorities of increasing the processing and production volume to ensure quality poultry products supply for Daghestan public.

The basic ideas of a promising economic policy have been defined to increase the state's role in supporting investments for poultry development including subsidizing part of the production costs, and so on.

State support provided in recent years allows raising the poultry industry from scratch by attracting investments. In Daghestan, large poultry farms have been built in Buynaksk region, Hassaviurt region, and Babayurt region. Some farms are being built like the one in Magaramkentskii district.

The guests headed by the director of "Shamhal-Yangiyurt" Poultry Farm" Magomed Saybudinov examined the farm’s production workshops operating and being built. They also discussed issues relating to the farm’s further development.
