Peasant farm "Sad" is implementing the largest investment project in Magaramkentsky municipal district of Dagestan. The project envisages the creation and development of one of the largest super-intensive apple orchards in the region. As to the project investor Kerimkhan Abasov, the total area of the garden may reach 500 hectares. Initially, the seedlings were delivered from Serbia and the Netherlands. Secondly, the drip irrigation system was installed to launch the project. Next it is planned to construct facilities for storage and processing of fruits. The implementation of all measures will create over 800 jobs. Earlier it was also reported that Dagestan intended to increase the area of hazelnut orchards.
