The grand opening of the new SERG shoe factory has taken place in Makhachkala on October 12. The total area of the factory's production premises is about 4 thousand square meters. The main direction of the enterprise is the production of leather footwear for women and men. The volume of investments in the construction of the new factory amounts to 200 million rubles.

The expected production volume is up to 600 thousand pairs of shoes per year. With the full capacity utilization, it is planned to employ about 100 local residents.

During the ceremonial opening of the factory, the first deputy Prime Minister of Dagestan Batyr Emeyev said that by the end of this year, three more shoe factories would have been opened in the republic.
