In the next six years it is planned to build wind farms, solar and hydroelectric power plants in the republic of Dagestan with a total investment capacity of 75 billion Russian rubles, the regional Ministry of Energy reports in its official Telegram-channel.

It is noted that the largest share of electricity in the region is generated by 16 hydroelectric power plants. They can meet 60% of the republic's electricity needs. According to the minister Muradov, the construction of the new stations will increase electricity production in the region by 24%, or 1,200m kWh per year, which will improve the quality of resource supply for the consumers.

Let us remind, in July 2022, Dagestan's largest solar power plant consisting of 40,000 solar modules with an area of over 30 hectares opened in the city of Yuzhno-Sukhokumsk.
