Milk processing workshop opens in Kizlyarsky district of Dagestan

Makhachkala, May 14, 2017. On May 13, the milk processing workshop of the Kizlyar Uritsky Meat Processing Plant LLC has been officially put into operation. The Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Dagestan Abdusamad Gamidov attended the solemn opening ceremony.

Speaking before the audience, Gamidov noted the importance of the workshop for the district and the role of the processing industry in the development of the republican agro-industrial complex.

"Dagestan is an agrarian republic and the agro-industrial complex is the most important sector of the economy. Therefore, the development of the food and processing industry is of particular importance. Unfortunately, when developing agricultural sector, we often forget about the enterprises engaged in the processing of agricultural raw materials. We must not allow this! The agro-industrial complex can be effective only under condition of simultaneous development of agriculture and processing industry" - the prime minister stressed.

It should be noted that the new milk shop worth 40 million rubles has a processing capacity of 5 tons per day. The Uritsky Meat Processing Plant itself has proved itself as a supplier of meat products to the market of the whole North Caucasian region.
