Makhachkala Commercial Seaport joined the national project "Productivity of labor" in October 2022. The introduction of lean production principles contributes to the optimization of production processes at the enterprise.
As to the press-service of the republican Ministry of Economic Development, the activities within the national project are implemented under the supervision of experts from the Federal Center of Competences. The work started with diagnostics of the pilot site and creation of a map of the current state of the process.

In this way, the experts identified the problems slowing down the processes and developed an action plan to achieve the target indicators of the project.

"For now, there is an active phase of project implementation. Different improvements are being introduced into the navigation system of the port and the standard operating procedures for loading big bags into the vessels. Besides, the standards of autonomous maintenance of cranes and forklifts are developed. This will help to speed up the process of equipment maintenance", - Vladimir Yakimov, the FCC expert said.

The expected results concern the reduction of process time (from vessel delivery to berth up to cement delivery to customer) as well as the increase in crew output and a reduction in inventory turnover. As a whole it will lead to improvement of a number of indicators and increase the port productivity.

Makhachkala Commercial Seaport is the only ice-free and deep-water port in Russia on the Caspian Sea, which accommodates ships of up to 150 m length and up to 4.5 m draught.

The program of the national project is designed for three years. New solutions will be implemented first at the pilot line and then at all the other available areas. The participation in the national project also implies training of company's employees to improve effective personnel management, to search for new methods of solving assigned tasks and to assess the process from the point of view of systemic increase of labor productivity under the educational program «Leaders of productivity».

Recall Dagestan joined the national project "Labor Productivity" in March 2022. Dagestan Glass Tara plant became a pilot site. After that, Kizlyar electromechanical plant, Makhachkala Commercial Seaport JSC and Makhachkala Airport JSC started implementing the measures under the national project.

The Ministry of Economy and Territorial Development of the Republic of Dagestan carries out systematic work to involve new enterprises into the National Project. This year, the methods and technologies of lean production are planned to be extended to the construction organizations of the region.
