Large livestock complex to be commissioned in Dagestan in 2018

Makhachkala, March 10, 2018. The "Kizlyar Uritsky meat-packing plant" LLC has completed the construction of one of the facilities of the cattle-breeding complex, designed for 200 milk cows, the press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture and Food reports.

According to the head of the enterprise Nurudin Omarov, two cattle-breeding facilities on the area of 15 hectares for the maintenance of large horned livestock will be constructed till the end of 2018. As to Omarov, the project cost totals approx. 446 million rubles. "The complex will be provided with the most modern equipment. The implementation of the investment project is carried out within the framework of the state target program “Ensuring food security and development of import substitution in the agro-industrial complex" - Omarov added.

Recall, in 2017, the Kizlyar Uritsky Meat Processing Plant started exporting meat to Iran. In a week the enterprise delivers more than 20 tons of lamb. The Russian meat of excellent quality and taste is in great demand in Iran. The export of frozen mutton is carried out by land in refrigerators.

Noteworthy, the meat supply to Iran started after the agreements concluded during a visit visit of representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food RD to the KUMP LLC on July 2, 2017. The first batch consisted of approx. 800 carcasses of lamb was exported to Iran at the end of October, 2017.
