According to the authors of the study, the 13th-year-old Dagestan cognac produced by the Kizlyar Brandy Factory took the third position in the ranking.

According to one of the rating organizers, a famous wine consultant and taster Alexandre Vintier, this drink is similar to French cognac and Armagnac in its profile. “Praised by Alexander Dumas during his trip to the Caucasus, appreciated by Winston Churchill, Kizlyar cognac is the most famous in Russia. Perhaps this is one of the few drinks made from Russian grapes and able to surprise critics” - Vintier wrote.
