KEMZ to invest approx. RUR 600 million in mass production of MAI-411 aircraft

Makhachkala, April 15, 2019. The creation of high-tech profitable production on assembling the multi-purpose four-seat twin-engine aircraft at the production site of Concern KEMZ OJSC requires investments in the amount of more than 600 million rubles, the press service of Kizlyar municipal administration reports.

The new production site will be equipped with modern high-performance machinery and the latest technologies. The development of production, certification and sales of MAI - 411 aircraft (ALPHA - KM) will be implemented within the framework of the state target program "Development of the aviation industry for 2013-2025".

Nowadays, specialists conduct work aimed at decreasing of the labor-intensiveness of production , improvement its quality, as well as the reduction of the aircraft manufacture costs. The work on improvement of standard design of the MAI-411 aircraft is carried out by the Concern KEMZ JSC jointly with the MAI mainly at its own expense, with the possibility of compensation of a part of expenses by the federal funds.

The first MAI 411 aircraft built by the Concern KEMZ successfully passed the first flight tests on April 12, 2018 on Cosmonautics Day as part of the certification program. The twin-engine aircraft is designed for 4 passengers. It has a large elongation wing with winglets. The fuselage and partly wing are made of composite materials. Estimated flight range is up to 1500 km, maximum speed - up to 270 km / h. It was first demonstrated on the static exposition of MAKS 2017.
