Italian investors interested in Caspian City project on Makhachkala Hippodrome

Makhachkala, February 5, 2015. On February 3, Dagestan minister of construction, architecture and housing Mussa Mussayev met with President of the Italian Medscpa company Salvatore Salute visiting the republic in company with representative of the Russian Government’s Investment Committee Alexander Dunayev.

The ministry’s press service reports that at the meeting, Mussayev briefed on the idea and the concept of the Caspian City project, and the parties discussed the possibility of Italian participation in this project.

Salvatore Salute got interested in the idea, noting that later in the month he plans to re-visit the republic to take decisions on the company's participation in this project. He also said he was ready for mutually beneficial cooperation in building other socially important facilities in Dagestan.

Caspian City is a large-scale construction project, which is expected to be implemented on the territory of the former Makhachkala hippodrome occupying 50 hectares. Currently, they have in place the conceptual design of the construction, the technical specification, and the design assignment.
