Makhachkala, January 5, 2018. As to the trade representative of Dagestan in Iran, Emin Aliyev, the Islamic Republic intends to invest in agricultural joint Iran-Dagestani enterprises.

"They (the Iranians) will build joint ventures to process our fruit and vegetable products. The investments will be made by the Iranians. Somewhere there will be a joint venture, somewhere purely Iranian" – E.Aliyev is quoted saying.

Most likely, the Iranian business will be engaged in processing Dagestan rice for its needs. "Dagestan grows rice and Iran is a large consumer of rice. So they want to grow this agricultural culture together with our farmers in the north of the republic" – E.Aliyev said.
