International Investment Forum kicks off in Sochi

Makhachkala, September 29, 2016. Today, September 29, the XV International Investment Forum "Sochi-2016" has started in Sochi.

As informed, more than 700 heads of Russian and foreign companies as well as foreign delegations from 24 countries attended the Forum. Besides, 70 Russian governors have confirmed their participation in the main investment event of Russia.

Dagestani Head Ramazan Abdulatipov will participate in the forum on October 1, the press service of Dagestani Head and Government Administration reports.

The forum "Sochi-2016" will take place in the main media center of the Olympic Park, located in the coastal cluster, the Imereti lowland of Adler district of Sochi.

The forum’s main topics were fulfilling Russia’s export potential, implementing import-substitution programs, developing its financial market and transforming its economic structure. This is a traditional platform for demonstrating the investment and economic potential of Russia, the regional aspects of the global economy, strengthening the links between foreign and Russian business representatives, experts and the media community.

The Forum organizers envisage holding briefings, discussions and round tables on topical issues of modern Russian and world economy.

As reported, Dagestani Head will visit a plenary session, attended by the Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, on the theme "A new quality of public administration: projects for growth and projects for Life".  Besides, Abdulatipov will take part in the panel discussion "The best practices and initiatives of social and economic development".

Dagestan exposition platform is decorated with pitchers and painting in the unique ethnic style. It occupies an area of 100 square meters and reflects the unique ethnic culture at the same time being high-tech and modern.

In Sochi, Dagestan introduces 62 investment projects worth approx.191 billion rubles and 111 investment proposals worth approx. 209 billion rubles.
