Industrial park starts functioning in Dagestan

Makhachkala, July 1, 2015. The grand opening ceremony of the industrial park "Crystal City" has taken place today in Dagestan. The deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for the North Caucasus Andrei Reznikov, the prime minister of Dagestan Abdusamad Gamidov, the vice premier Gasan Idrisov, the adviser to the Minister of the Russian Federation for the North Caucasus Rizvan Gazimagomedov, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment Policy RD Yusup Umavov and others attended the ceremony.

The total area of the industrial park is 16.6 hectares, of which only 20% is used. According to the project, the warehouses and all the necessary infrastructure will be constructed first. The investors plans office and retail facilities in the "Crystal City" afterwards.

The members of the republican Government and of the federal Ministry of North Caucasus Affairs got also familiarized with the exposition space of residents. For the time being, only six producers including the JSC "Dagestan packaging", the LLC "Kikuninsky cannery", a plant for the production of furniture for food companies "Zhar" and some others localized their assets in the industrial park.
According A.Gamidov, after completion of the second development phase the amount of working capital in the "Crystal City" may total approx. 1 billion rubles with about 100 residents.
