I Business Conference kicks off in Pyatigorsk
The investment projects of entrepreneurs from the regions of the North Caucasus presented at the conference are expected to create new jobs and to improve the well-being of the region residents, the first deputy Minister on Affairs of the Northern Caucasus Odes Baysultanov said.
"Only a quarter out of 100 projects presented by the North Caucasian regions on the seminar-meeting, met the needed requirements. As a result, only 23 projects passed the preliminary selection for the business conference. The Interagency Working Group will sel ect the most important and priority ones for the North Caucasus economic development. The better ones are expected to create new jobs and improve the overall well-being of residents of the region", - Baysultanov resumed.
The best projects will be included in the state program "Development of the North Caucasus Federal District" for the period up to 2025 and will receive financial support fr om the regional and federal budgets.
More than half of projects claimed the inclusion into the state program will be implemented in the agricultural sector. The regions of the Northern Caucasus intend to plant extensive gardens, to build greenhouses, vegetable stores, poultry complex. The Stavropol Territory and Kabardino-Balkaria will present projects to create seed centers.
Besides, the regions will offer projects in the field of construction, tourism and food industry.
