First modular hotels to be commissioned in Dagestan by end of 2022

The first modular hotels in Dagestan are planned to be opened by the end of the year. In total 500 hotel beds will be created.

"We have received 150 million rubles for the development of modular hotels in Dagestan, and at least 500 [places] will be created in the republic by the end of this year. If the experience proves successful, we will try to support the project"- the head of Rostourism Zarina Doguzova said during a working visit to the region.

According to Doguzova, Dagestan became one of 19 pilot regions of the Russian Federation, which participate in the program of creating a network of modular eco-hotels - quickly erected hotels, which can be assembled within a year.
"They are fashionable, modern, very comfortable, equipped with everything necessary for leisure," – Rostourism top official said.

Abdula Magomedov, the deputy minister for tourism and folk arts and crafts of the region, told that 10 such modular hotels for 100 rooms are planned to be built in the region. "At least 60 jobs will be created throughout the republic," Magomedov said.

According to results of 2021, the tourist inflow to Dagestan for the first time exceeded 1 million people, the growth compared to the previous year made 29,1%.
