Derbent – 2000 tourist center presented at Intourmarket exhibition

Makhachkala, March 21, 2016. Yesterday March 20, the director general of the tourist center "Derbent - 2000" Polad Nametullaev presented a tourism potential of Derbent, tentative itinerary, collective accommodation facilities and ethno-cultural features in Derbent within the XI International Tourism Exhibition "Intourmarket" in Moscow.

Opening the presentation, Dagestani minister of tourism and folk crafts Magomed Isayev noted that the center "Derbent - 2000" was created on the initiative of Dagestani Head Ramazan Abdulatipov. It is necessary for promoting Derbent as a tourist destination in Dagestan.

The presentation, dated for the spring holiday "Nowruz Bayram", was accompanied by a video about the history of ancient Derbent as a trade and cultural center in the framework of the Silk Road, its role in the modern development of the Republic of Dagestan.

As it informed, within the day of the North Caucasus Federal District regions, Dagestani minister Magomed Isayev participated in the signing of a collective cooperation agreement in the field of tourism development in Dagestan. Besides, Dagestani ministry of tourism signed a cooperation agreement with the Tourism Authority of St. Petersburg and information agency "SevKavInform".

Noteworthy, the top officials of the republican ministry took part in a number of round tables held within the XI International Tourism Exhibition "Intourmarket" in Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre in Moscow on March 19-22.
