A universal ceramic dental implant has been created and patented by scientists of Kabardino-Balkarian State University (KBSU). This is another striking example of proper import substitution in the Caucasus. The implant is cheaper than its foreign counterparts and looks more aesthetic. The titanium implants made in Israel and Korea are widely used in dentistry. But their significant disadvantage is the dark color and allergic reactions to titanium. The composite implant made by KBSU scientists is devoid of these disadvantages.

Allegedly, the new developments of KBSU for the needs of dentistry are in active development. Noteworthy, the university had recently concluded a cooperation agreement in the sphere of import substitution with Moscow Medical and Dentistry University.
